The Wildlife of Belltrees

Australia is renowned for its unique wildlife; Belltrees has no shortage of exotic plants and animals. Although Koala Bears are rare in this area, we have hundreds of kangaroos and wallabies, huge flocks of cockatoos, giant goanna lizards, laughing kookaburras, and colorful lorikeets.

Michael White's grandfather H.L. White was a famous ornithologist who recorded 240 different species of birds on the lawn of the Belltrees Homestead! All the family appreciates the wildlife heritage and there is always a family or staff member ready to help visitors find some kangaroos or to help identify the Australian plant or animal species encountered on nature walks at Belltrees.
